Vacation leave passage/vacation leave allowance retained for officers appointed before 1.7.78
152.-(1) Nothing in this Chapter shall affect the privileges of the officers who, by virtue of their appointments, are eligible for once-in-the-service vacation leave passage, annual vacation leave passage, vacation leave allowance once every three years or vacation leave passage once every three years as set out in Table II of the Fourteenth Schedule.

(2) In the case where an officer is eligible for vacation leave passage once every three years in the service for himself and family from his station to any place within Malaysia or any other place in lieu thereof, such privilege shall from the date of commencement of these General Orders be spent in any part of Malaysia or any other place, and if the costs of the passage for the officer and his family do not exceed the total costs of the normal air passage from the officer’s station to Pulau Langkawi, the balance of the fare may be claimed by the officer to cover the costs of his accommodation or land transportation incurred during the journey.

(3) In the case where an officer is eligible for vacation leave passage once every three years in the service for himself and family from his station to any place within Peninsular Malaysia, such privilege shall from the date of commencement of these General Orders be spent in any part of Peninsular Malaysia, and if the costs of passage for the officer and his family do not exceed the total costs of the normal air passage from the officer’s station to Pulau Langkawi, the balance of the fare may be claimed by the officer to cover the costs of his accommodation or land transportation incurred during the journey.

(4) It is the duty of the officer who claims for the privilege in paragraph (2) or (3) to provide all supporting documents, including receipts and invoices in respect of air passages, hotels and transport.
