Vacation leave eligibility
113.-(1) The vacation leave eligibility of an officer for the year is as set out in Table I of the Fourteenth Schedule.

(2) A contract officer shall be entitled to such leave as may be stipulated in his terms of contract.

(3) When an officer is appointed or promoted to a post in the grade or category having a higher maximum and thereby altering his entitlement for leave according to paragraph (1), then all the periods he has served before his appointment or promotion in that year shall be deemed as service in such grade or category with the higher maximum.

(4) An officer who is promoted or transferred on promotion to a higher post affecting his eligibility for vacation leave is eligible for the rate of vacation leave based on the higher post and the period he has served in the lower post in that particular year shall be deemed as service in the higher post. The same computation of vacation leave shall also apply in respect of the year an officer completes the first ten years of service.

(5) An officer who gives notice of resignation to the Government in accordance with General Order 56 shall not be eligible for any vacation leave and any period of vacation leave standing to his credit shall be forfeited.

(6) For the purpose of this General Order, reference to "grade" or "category" means the grade or category specified in the Second Schedule.
