Officers allowed to opt for commuted leave
307. - (1) An officer who is eligible to make a claim for overtime pay under this Part may, with the permission of the Head of Department, opt to be given commuted leave under General Order 148 for the whole period of overtime in which he claimed for the month.

(2) The option made under paragraph (1) shall be made at the time of submitting the claim and, after the making thereof, it cannot be withdrawn.

(3) The commuted leave approved for the purpose of this General Order shall be equivalent to the overtime work performed and if not taken within six months from the date of approval it shall lapse.
