Circumstances when a Medical Board or the Special Medical Board may be convened
271. The Medical Board or the Special Medical Board may be convened in the following circumstances:

(a) if an officer is directed by the Head of Department to be examined regarding his extended sick leave;

(b) when the mental or physical fitness of an officer is in doubt;

(c) when an officer or a member of his family requires medical treatment in a foreign country; or

(d) for purpose of certifying the re-appointment of a retired officer on medical grounds.
