Free treatment in hospital
262. - (1) Officers and members of their families shall be entitled to receive free of charge such medical or dental treatment and medication, including the free supply of orthopaedic appliances, artificial limbs, special type of glasses prescribed by a Government medical officer and equipment for sustaining specialised treatment approved by Government but excluding the supply of dentures inlays, crowns, bridges and orthodontic appliances, artificial eye-balls, audio-hearing aids, spectacles and other equipment supplied by Government hospital.

(2) Where any medicines or drugs required for the medical or dental treatment of officers and members of their families are not available from a Government medicine store, the State Director of Health may purchase or cause to be purchased such medicines or drugs from any local pharmacy.
