Special medical examination on the direction of Head of Department | 289. - (1) When a Head of Department finds that an officer has been unsatisfactory in the performance of his duties, and suspects that his inefficiency may be due to his health, he may issue a direction in writing to the officer concerned to undergo a medical examination.
(2) An officer who has been directed by his Head of Department to undergo a medical examination under paragraph (1) shall present himself at Government hospital on the date specified by the Head of Department in his direction. (3) An officer who fails to comply with the direction given under paragraph (1) may be liable to disciplinary action. |
