Sarawak Government Gazette; responsibility of officers
196. - (1) Publication in the Sarawak Government Gazette shall be sufficient notice to every officer of the subject matter published. Officers shall be held responsible for ensuring that all changes and instructions contained in the Sarawak Government Gazette are duly noted. Heads of Departments shall draw the attention of their subordinate officers to any notification that affect them.

(2) The following shall be gazetted:

(a) all statutory appointments, or other matters, which are required by law to be published in Parts I to IV of the Sarawak Government Gazette or by the provisions of these General Orders to be notified in the Sarawak Government Gazette;

(b) the examination results as provided for in General Order 323;

(c) any other matters which the State Secretary may from time to time direct to be published in accordance with General Order 188.

(3) All such Gazette Notifications referred to in paragraph (2) shall be prepared by the Head of Department and submitted to the State Attorney-General.
