Leaving State whilst under interdiction or suspension
176.—(1) An officer who is interdicted or suspended shall not leave the State without the prior written approval of the State Secretary.

(2) The Head of Department shall take all necessary steps to stop the payment of any emolument to an officer who is interdicted and who has left the State without the prior written approval of the State Secretary.

(3) Notwithstanding paragraph (1), where criminal proceedings have been instituted against an officer in a foreign country, the officer shall be interdicted in the manner prescribed under the Public Service Commission Rules, 1996, and shall be placed in the custody of the Malaysian Mission in that country and he shall not be allowed to leave that country.
