Procedure in cases of detention, banishment, etc
175. Where there has been made against an officer—

(a) an order of imprisonment, detention, supervision, restricted residence, banishment or deportation; or

(b) an order which imposes on the officer any form of restriction or suspension, whether with bond or otherwise,

under any law relating to the security of the Federation or the State, prevention of crime, preventive detention, restricted residence, banishment, immigration or protection of women and girls, the Head of Department shall apply for a copy of the order from the appropriate authority. Upon receipt of a copy of such order, the Head of Department shall immediately submit it to the State Secretary. The State Secretary shall report the matter to the Com-mission and the Commission shall forthwith suspend the officer from the exercise of his duties in the manner prescribed under the Public Service Commission Rules, 1996.
