PART TWO

DUTY OF DISCIPLINARY CONTROL AND SUPERVISION

173. - (1) It is the duty of every officer to exercise disciplinary control and supervision over his subordinates and to take appropriate action in every case of breach of any of the provisions of these General Orders, and shall ensure that the provisions of these General Orders are duly complied with by himself and his subordinates.

(2) An officer who fails to exercise disciplinary control and supervision over his subordinates commits a breach of discipline and shall be deemed to have been negligent in the performance of his duties or to have acted in an irresponsible manner and shall thereby render him liable for disciplinary action.
