ASSOCIATIONS, CLUBS, ETC., WITHIN PUBLIC SERVICE


177. - (1) The formation of any association, club, society or co-operative-
    (a) for public officers or their spouses in any department (hereinafter referred to as "departmental club"); or

    (b) for officers in the public service or their spouses (hereinafter referred to as "public officers' club"), shall, apart from compliance with any written law relating to societies or co-operatives, have the prior written approval of the State Secretary.
(2) Application to the State Secretary for the formation of a departmental or public officers’ club shall be submitted to him through-
    (a) the Head of the Department, for the formation of a departmental club; or

    (b) the Director, Human Resource Development and Personnel, for the formation of a public officers' club.

(3) Each application shall be supported by-
    (a) a copy of the draft rules and regulations of the proposed club;

    (b) details of the proposed activities or objectives thereof; and

    (c) a list of the names and designation of the members of its protem committee.
