Rent for Government quarters | 239. - (1) Rent for quarters shall be calculated from the day an officer moves into such quarters and shall be paid monthly. Subject to General Order 235(3), the rent shall terminate on the actual day the officer vacates such quarters after notifying the Housing Board.
(2) It is the responsibility of the Head of Department to notify the State Accountant-General for deduction from the salary of an officer under his supervision the monthly rent for quarters on receiving such request from the Housing Board. (3) The Head of Department shall also be responsible to ensure that the final rent is collected from an officer who will resign, retire, transfer and so on. |
