Termination of service of probationary officer who failed to be confirmed
52.-(1) Subject to paragraph (2), the Government has the right to terminate the service of an officer on probation who on first appointment failed to be confirmed in his appointment upon the expiry of his probationary period or, if the probationary period has been extended under General Order 27, upon the expiry of his extended probationary period.

(2) An officer who has been confirmed in his appointment and when appointed to any post in a new scheme of service has failed to be confirmed in such new scheme of service, may be retired if he has been accorded the pensionable status, or may have his service terminated if he cannot revert back to his former scheme of service according to General Order 11.
