Appointment of a temporary officer | 31.-(1) Where it is desirable to appoint a person as a temporary officer to any post in the public service, the appointment shall be in writing for such period as may be specified in his appointment.
(2) A temporary officer is required to contribute to the Employees Provident Fund. (3) All serving temporary officers shall be treated in the same manner and under the same terms and conditions of service, perquisites and other allowances as accorded to confirmed officers in similar grades, unless otherwise specified in their terms and conditions of service: Provided that no temporary officer shall be eligible for pension privileges. |
