Granting of pensionable status | 30.-(1) The granting of pensionable status to an officer shall be in accordance with the pension laws for the time being in force.
(2) An officer who has already been emplaced or qualified to be emplaced on the pensionable establishment pursuant to the Pensions Ordinance of Sarawak prior to 1st July, 1978, shall be deemed to be a pensionable officer under the Pensions Act 1980. Cap. 89. (1958 Ed.) Act 227. (3) An officer may be conferred the status of a pensionable officer if- (a) he has been confirmed in his appointment; and (b) he has completed not less than three years reckonable service. |
