Probationary period of a confirmed officer on appointment to a new post
26-(1) Subject to paragraph (2), a confirmed officer who has been appointed to a new post shall be required to serve on probation for a period of three years from the date of his appointment, unless otherwise prescribed by the Commission.

(2) A confirmed officer who has been promoted by appointment to a new post is not required to serve on probation. The officer may be confirmed on the recommendation of his Head of Department after he has-

(a) completed twelve months service in the new post; and

(b) successfully followed an Induction Course.
