Leave on medical grounds should be supported by medical certificates
125.-(1) An officer may be granted leave on medical grounds after a medical certificate issued by a Government medical officer or by a Medical Board is presented, certifying that he is unfit to discharge the duties attached to his post.

(2) A Head of Department may accept, at his own discretion, any medical certificate issued by a private practitioner without countersignature by a Government medical officer, when such certificate grant leave not exceeding two consecutive days only.
