Injury leave under the Workmen’s Compensation Act 1952
140.-(1) Notwithstanding the provisions of these General Orders, the Head of Department may approve injury leave on full-pay to an officer who is eligible for compensation under the Workmen's Compensation Act 1952 for injury in the course of official duty.

(2) The injury leave approved under paragraph (1) shall not exceed ninety days.

(3) Any injury leave approved under paragraph (1) shall not be debited from the officer’s vacation leave or other leave on medical grounds as provided under these General Orders.

(4) All payments made as full-pay to the officer granted the injury leave under paragraph (1) shall be deemed as periodic payments provided under the Workmen's Compensation Act 1952.

(5) Where the Government is required to pay compensation in a lump sum to such officer in accordance with the provisions of the Workmen's Compensation Act 1952, no deduction shall be made in respect of all the payments received as full-pay during the period of injury leave.

(6) An officer who still remains incapacitated upon termination of the period of ninety days on full-pay approved to him under paragraph (1) may draw the usual benefits under the Workmen's Compensation Act 1952.
