Study leave
145.-(1) An officer who has been selected or approved by the Government to attend a training course or study may be granted study leave-

(a) for the period of the training course or study attended including academic holidays and any weekly holidays falling within the period of the training course or study;

(b) for the period of travelling to the place of the training course or study and for travelling back after completing the training course or study by the shortest route; and

(c) for the period of waiting in a foreign country due to unavoidable local travel formalities.

(2) The study leave under this General Order may be granted whether on full-pay, half-pay or without pay.

(3) For the purpose of this General Order, "training course or study" means-

(a) a diploma, basic degree and post-graduate or advanced course; or

(b) any other courses in the service approved by Government.
