(2) Leave without pay on personal grounds within and outside Malaysia may be approved when-

(a) the officer has completed more than six months' service; and

(b) the officer has taken all vacation leave for which he is eligible before he starts his leave without pay.

(3) The amount of leave without pay that may be approved under paragraph (1) is thirty days for each completed year of qualifying service subject to a maximum of three hundred and sixty days at any one time.

(4) Any balance of leave without pay on personal grounds for which the officer is eligible may be approved as long as such leave without pay does not reach the maximum allowed to the officer based on qualifying service.

(5) An officer who has taken all the leave without pay for which he is eligible under this General Order shall not be granted any more leave without pay prescribed under paragraph (3) unless he has fulfilled all the terms of qualifying service.

(6) Leave without pay granted to an officer shall be neither leave earning nor leave consuming.
