Driver’s Pay Assistance Allowance and Driver’s Living Allowance 		64.-(1) An officer in the Top Management Group, or an officer in the Management and Professional Group with a salary of not less than RM1,785.00 per month or such other amount as may be stipulated by the Majlis Mesyuarat Kerajaan Negeri, who is not provided with an official or Government car and Government driver, and employs a full time driver is eligible to claim for the Driver's Pay Assistance Allowance at the rates and in accordance with the terms and conditions as set out in Table VI of the Eighth Schedule:

Provided that an officer who claims for such allowance must confirm in his monthly claims that he is employing a full-time driver.

(2) An officer who is given a Driver's Pay Assistance Allowance is eligible to claim for the Driver's Living Allowance at the rate of RM40.00 per night while performing official duties outside his station:

Provided that his driver also stays overnight at the place where the officer is required to perform official duties.
