Passage for overseas courses or training
71. If the place of a recognised course or training is in a country other than those referred to in General Order 70, the officer is eligible to claim for—

(a) cost of journey between his station in Malaysia and the airport or port of departure in Malaysia, once at the beginning and once at the end of the course or training;

(b) air passage of the appropriate grade as set out in the Ninth Schedule between Malaysia and the country where the course or training is held once at the beginning and once at the end of the course or training;

(c) cost of journey not exceeding a second class railway or coach fare from the airport or port to the place where the course or training is held once at the beginning and once at the end of the course or training. An officer who is required to make a journey to fulfill the programme of his course or training verified by a proper authority of the institution where he is attending the course or training may be paid the cost of the journey at the same rate; and

(d) reasonable expenses for transporting personal effects, including porterage during the journey.
