(a) a sum of RM1,000.00 for funeral expenses;

(b) if his death does not occur in his registered hometown-

(i) an amount not exceeding RM1,000.00 for transportation of his remains to his registered hometown for burial;

(ii) a grant not exceeding the amount which the deceased would have received if he had retired or on transfer back to his registered hometown;

(iii) the actual costs of transportation of his personal effects back to his registered hometown; and

(iv) the cost of passages for the members of the deceased's family to return to his registered hometown or that of his spouse.

(2) The amount stipulated in paragraph (1)(a) and (b) may be amended by the State Secretary from time to time.
