Allowances, facilities and payments for attending Investiture Ceremony
86.-(1) An officer or a retired officer who has been invited and permitted by the State Secretary to attend an Investiture Ceremony to receive a State Award or Decoration or Long Service Medal shall be eligible for the following as if he was on official duty-

(a) allowances and passage in accordance with General Orders 62 and 67;

(b) subsistence allowance or day allowance at the rates in accordance with General Order 62; and

(c) lodging allowance, with or without receipt in accordance with General Order 62.

(2) Any person who has been invited to attend an Investiture Ceremony to receive a posthumous award bestowed on a deceased officer shall be eligible, when attending the ceremony, to claim for the same allowances and passage prescribed under paragraph (1), but the allowances shall be at the rates to which the deceased officer (immediately prior to his death) was eligible.
