Official cars provided for certain officers | 63.-(1) Officers belonging to the Top Management Group, and such other officers as the Majlis Mesyuarat Kerajaan Negeri may approve, would be provided with official cars of such types or capacities as the Majlis Mesyuarat Kerajaan Negeri may direct. Such cars shall be maintained at the costs and expense of the Government.
(2) An official car provided to an officer under paragraph (1) shall be driven by a driver employed at the costs and expense of the Government. (3) An officer who is not provided with an official car pursuant to paragraph (1) may be assigned, for the discharge of his official duties, a Government car of such type or capacity as may be determined by the State Secretary, but no driver or Driver's Pay Assistance Allowance shall be provided to such an officer. (4) The use and maintenance of any official or Government car provided for the use of any officer under this General Order shall be regulated by Circulars issued by the State Secretary. (5) An officer who is provided with an official car under paragraph (1) may be permitted to acquire the official car on his retirement or on the completion of his contract of service, upon such terms and conditions as may be stipulated by the Majlis Mesyuarat Kerajaan Negeri. |
